This week in Springfield, State Representative Tom Demmer (R-Dixon) received the TechNet Champion of Innovation award. TechNet, a national bipartisan network of technology CEOs and senior executives, promotes the growth of the innovation economy.
“It is an honor to receive this award,” said Demmer. “I know TechNet represents some of the most innovative companies in the United States, and I look forward to continuing to work them on policies that drive new investments and new economic opportunities throughout Illinois.”
In addition to Chicago, TechNet has offices in Albany, New York; Austin, Texas; Boston, Massachusetts; Olympia, Washington; Sacramento and San Francisco, California; Tallahassee, Florida; and Washington, D.C. Members work to foster a climate of innovation and competition, and to advance public policies and private sector initiatives to make the Unites States the world leader in innovation.
